My problem tree

Dear friends,
This is a very simple tree picture representing one of the most immoral and unethical issues that the world is facing today.I always wonder how can someone thoughtlessly order tons of chinese food at a restraurant and then simply throw it away without eating even half from the dish?

Hunger:  One of the few cravings that cannot be appeased with another solution.  ~Irwin Van Grove

This world has so much hunger and pain to be cared for and the earth also has the right amount of resources to feed every child of this world. But unfortunately because of the irrational policies of trade and unethical thoughtless behaviour of the rich, there are 950 million hungry people within this very world where we eat tons of pizzas and burgers every year!

My question to you is:
CAN WE DO NOTHING ABOUT IT?????????????

Keep watching for more on my project.........I look forward to your comments and ideas on what do you think we as youth can do?I also welcome you to join me in this endevour...

E-classroom:Youth Social Entrepreneurship e-course

Assalamualaikum, hello, namastey, bonjour, pronto and hi,
The girl on thic picture is a 25 year dreamer.Professionally a Lecturer and researcher in Green Economics. She travelled to Switzerland for her MBA and then to UK for Phd which proves her passion for being a global citizen. This girl is Shahla Khan- me,myself and I!

WHY AM I HERE?
I was born and brought up in Saudi Arabia and then shifted to India with my parents for further education.Later I moved to Swiss for MBA and now in the UK for my PhD.Having lived and travelled in these few contradictory parts of the world, I have encountered hunger, poverty, income inequalities, conservativeness, violence, racism and lots of other social evils. I do not believe in blaming the Government or God for every wrong thing that happens around me.
This is why I believe in bringing about a change- internally within my self and externally within other people. I realize there is a lot that we can do but only if we recognize our passions.I recognized my passion towards making a change and joined the UNYSA UK where I currently hold the post of Organizational Officer.I then introduced this society to my university and then I became the founder and president of UNYSA UWIC. I successfully with my team organized the World Food Day and then the World Aids Day just within a few months of our birth! I trust my capabilities but need to polish them further and this is why I am here.

MY interests-
I love poetry and Economics-I know its a rare combinition but cant help it! :)

My philosophy of life-
I believe I am the foundation of this earth because I am a woman.I can do lots to make earth a world of love and I turn red when I see violence against women.Whatever I do in life,I respect myself for being a woman!
“Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, "She doesn't have what it takes"; They will say, "Women don't have what it takes"
 Clare Boothe Luce

I also believe in the power of learning because only a good learner can be a good teacher and preacher. Thus if we desire to bring about a change in the world, we need to change ourselves first and learn this skill.
I am here for that. This platform shall make me a better learner!

When people hear about my achievements, they wonder I am a University lecturer in the age of 24 and doing so many other things....I think, I am still late and should have done something big for the world by 25.Hope to do it this year after this e course from Aids for Smiles :)
I wish all the best to every person who has taken time to go through my profile....
TOGETHER WE CAN AND WE WILL, MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
